Cascade Canary Breeders Association (CCBA) is a club for those who
breed or keep canaries and finches in the Pacific Northwest. Although
we are based in the Seattle area, we have members from across Washington
State and the Northwest Region, including Oregon and British Columbia.
Special Club events each year include the Spring Bird Sale (February),
Summer Picnic (July), Feather Show (September), Annual Bird Show
(October), and Holiday Potluck (December). See the Calendar for more information on 2011 events.

The first meeting of the Cascade Canary Breeders Association was held
in January 1969 in Seattle. Only five people were in attendance at the
first meeting.
At the second meeting, officers were elected.
This meeting was held at the Hudson Home and was attended by ten people.
With a treasurey of only $25, our first show was held in November 1969
at the Jefferson Park Recreation Center. The show was a moderate
success with 150 birds entered.
Over the years, CCBA has had
many members come and go. With over 100 current members, CCBA is a
vital, growing group of canary and finch enthusiasts. With our
association's objectives in mind, we hope to encourage and inspire both
current and future canary and finch breeders.

Meetings are typically held on the third Sunday of each month at Grange Supply in Issaquah, Washington. Meetings begin at 1 PM and last around two hours. See the Calendar of upcoming events for exact meeting dates and special events like bird sales and shows.
